Advanced Placement Psychology: Term Paper

Disorders

 You may choose any 'mental disorder', however it must be approved.  Your paper must cover:

• Causes
• Symptoms
• Treatments
• Research
• Describe two current research programs at accredited universities

     -       Length: Approx. 5 pages (4 ½ to 5 ½ pages – no more, no less (yes, I will measure))

• NOT including bibliography and end notes
• Font: 12 New Times Roman
• Margins: Top=1”, Bottom = .5”, Left and right = 1”
• NO blank lines between paragraphs or sections!
• No section titles

          -       Outside sources: At least two

• Web resources may be used
• If you use Internet sources, the web sites must end EDU

-         YOU MAY NOT site Wikipedia

-         Websites ending in ORG or COM MUST BE PRE-APPROVED!!

• The textbook may used as a source, but may NOT be quoted or referenced in the paper

-         You must have a bibliography and footnotes/endnotes.

- Due: May 4, 2012 – at the beginning of 5th Period

- Paper is worth 300 points

               o      Late papers: Minus one letter grade (10%) for each day late
