General Announcements: APWH Spring Semester 2011
05/29/11: The Hall of Fame page has been updated for this year. Congratulations to those who made it. Have a good summer. Please email me when you receive your scores. Expect them after July 1st.

05/18/11: Review guide for the final distributed in class. Click here for a copy
05/16/11: Outline of final exam questions due on May 23rd. This will not be returned - so BE SURE TO HAVE A COPY!
05/ 10/11: Final Project is due May 26th. There will be a 30% penalty if turned in on May 27th. NO PROJECT WILL BE
ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 27TH!!!!

04/02/11: The parameters for the 'Final Four" paper are:
- Two to three pages - doubled spaced
- 12 font Ariel or New Times Roman
- 1-inch margins
- Remember, this is NOT a biography paper, you are to address why this person is influential in world history. You are to describe and explain how these people changed history.
03/30/11: Those taking the national exam - for the April 13th meeting:
- Read chapters 24 and 25
- Complete the DBQ distributed on March 30th
- Complete the practice test
03/28/11: Test on chapters 22 and 26 - Industrial Revolution will be on Friday 4/01/11
03/21/11: Three-page paper on "Final Four" is due on April 11, 2011
03/18/11: World History Tournament bracket is due on Monday 3/21/11
03/16/11: There will be no after-school study session on Thursday 3/17/11
03/13/11: The test for chapter 21 will be on Monday 3/21/11
03/07/11: Payments for all AP tests are due NO LATER than the end of business MARCH 11th (Friday)!! Make all checks payable to Bullitt Central High School and turn them in to the guidance office. Remember, the school can NOT give, handle, or request ANY refund(s).

Chapter 6: Take-home test
Choose any two questions from the ones listed below. This is due Tuesday October 26.
1) Discuss the effects of polytheism and the lack of unification in India prior to Ashoka
2) How did the Mauryan Empire and the Gupta Empire succeed in unifying much of India?
3) What was the condition of Indian women during the Gupta Empire? What important factors affected women's lives?
4) Describe the rise and importance of the Mauryan Empire
